Winter Park police say the Sunday death at a mansion near the city’s chain of lakes was the result of a medical event and is not suspicious, according to a department spokesman.
Officers responded Sunday afternoon to the 1000 block of Genius Drive, between Lake Virginia and Lake Mizell, Lt. Edwin Santos said.
Santos said Monday afternoon that the preliminary investigation found that the resident suffered a medical emergency, resulting in his death. Santos said they will wait for a formal cause of death from the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office for a final determination.
